Pelham Bay sits in the northeastern Bronx adjacent to Pelham Bay Park — at 2,772 acres, the largest park in New York City, more than three times the size of Central Park. The park includes Orchard Beach, a long stretch of sandy shoreline on Long Island Sound; Hunter Island with old-growth forest; miles of wooded trails; and a large fenced dog run near the Middletown Road entrance.
